Privacy Policy

Uhire ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal information when you use our recruitment platform at uhire.tech. By using our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We may collect the following types of information:

• Full name and contact details (email address, phone number)
• Resume, work history, skills, and other job-related data
• Company name, industry, and hiring preferences (for employers)
• Usage data such as pages visited, features used, clicks, and time spent on the platform
• Device and browser information collected automatically (device type, browser, OS, language, and approximate diagnostics data)
• Approximate location data only when you grant browser/app location permission
• Cookie and identifier data for session continuity, security, and core features; and, if you consent via our cookie banner, additional data processed through optional analytics, session-insight, and advertising tools (including services provided by Google, Microsoft, and Meta as described in section 8)

We use your information for the following purposes:

• To provide AI-assisted profile autofill, candidate evaluation and job-description drafting as part of our recruitment services
• To connect candidates with relevant employers and opportunities
• To improve and personalise your platform experience
• To send service updates, job alerts, and relevant communications
• To analyse usage trends, troubleshoot issues, and maintain platform security
• Where you consent, to measure marketing effectiveness, run aggregated analytics, and improve funnels and UX (including through third-party tools listed in section 8)
• To support account authentication, session management, and abuse prevention

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

• With employers when you apply for a job or express interest in a role
• With trusted service providers (hosting, email delivery, analytics, advertising, and measurement partners such as Google, Microsoft, and Meta) who assist in platform operations, subject to contracts and this policy
• When required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Uhire and its users

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. However, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and to contact us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete data
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Withdraw consent for communications at any time

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate and protect the platform. Essential cookies and similar storage are used to keep you signed in, maintain secure authentication flows (such as OTP and password reset journeys), remember security-related state, and protect against misuse. These are needed for core functionality and are not optional in the same way as marketing or analytics cookies.

Default position for optional cookies. Optional analytics, session-insight, and advertising tools are not enabled until you choose "Accept All" on our cookie banner. Until you do, Google tags use Consent Mode with analytics and advertising storage signals set to denied; Microsoft Clarity and similar optional scripts do not load.

If you accept. When you choose "Accept All", you agree that we may enable the third-party tools in section 8 (including Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and the Meta Pixel where deployed) to measure traffic, improve the product, understand session-level behaviour in aggregate, and support advertising and conversion measurement.

If you choose only necessary cookies. When you choose "Only necessary" on the banner, we do not enable those optional tools for your browser as described in section 8 (essential cookies and similar storage may still apply as described above).

You can control cookies through your browser settings or extensions; disabling essential cookies may impact login, security checks, or other core functionality.

We use selected third-party services for infrastructure, communications, and—when you consent via our cookie banner—for measurement, product improvement, and advertising-related analytics. The optional tools below follow the default position in section 7: they run only after you choose "Accept All" (see also section 9). Providers process data under their own terms; we encourage you to read their policies.

Google Analytics (GA4)

Google Analytics helps us understand site traffic and usage patterns.

• We use Google Consent Mode in line with section 7: analytics and advertising storage signals remain denied until you choose "Accept All", or until you update a stored choice (for example via Cookie preferences or by clearing site data).
• If you accept, Google Analytics may process information such as pages viewed, interactions, browser and device details, and coarse location or IP-derived data in line with Google's policies, to help us improve performance and UX.
• If you choose "Only necessary", we update consent signals so that Google Analytics measurement is not used for your browser in the way described above for that choice.
• You may opt out of Google Analytics using Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Microsoft Clarity

We may use Microsoft Clarity on the candidate-facing site to improve usability through heatmaps, session replays, and related diagnostics. Processing is subject to Microsoft's Privacy Statement. We configure masking and data-handling options in Clarity where available. Clarity is part of the same optional consent category as our other measurement tools described here; do not accept if you do not want this type of processing.

Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel)

We may use the Meta Pixel provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. to measure conversions, build aggregated audiences, and improve the relevance and effectiveness of advertising on Meta's services and partner environments. The Pixel may use cookies and similar technologies to recognise browsers and devices. Processing is subject to Meta's Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. You can adjust ad preferences in your Meta account and use industry opt-out tools where available in your region.

We do not control third-party sites; their practices are governed by their own policies.

On your first visit, we may show a compact cookie banner. The default position is described in section 7 (optional tools off until you accept). "Accept All" records your consent to optional measurement and marketing-related processing described in this policy, including Google Analytics (with Consent Mode updates), Microsoft Clarity, and the Meta Pixel where we deploy them on uhire.tech. "Only necessary" records that you do not consent to those optional tools; we then do not enable them for your browser as described in sections 7 and 8.

We may show a cookie banner so you can accept optional cookies or limit to necessary cookies only—using the bottom banner ("Accept All" or "Only necessary") or Cookie preferences in the footer—in line with section 7.

We store cookie consent only in your browser: your choice (uhire_cookie_consent), the policy version it applied to (uhire_cookie_consent_v, currently 1), and when it was saved (uhire_cookie_consent_at, ISO-8601 timestamp). If we bump that version when cookie terms change, you may be asked to choose again; until you do, the site may show the cookie banner again.

You can change your choice at any time: use Cookie preferences (also in the site footer under Legal). This reopens the same banner so you can select "Accept All" or "Only necessary" again. Alternatively, clear site data for uhire.tech in your browser settings, or contact us at ta@uhire.tech. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
